Treasure Hunt In Leadenham

28/04/2021

Glenrowan Homes Archaeological Investigations got underway this week in Leadenham an area with an abundance of history.

The Village dating back to Anglo-Saxon origins yet little evidence of the Anglo-Saxon occupation of the area. Previous investigations in the area have recorded limited finds of prehistoric or Roman remains. Leadenham with Fulbeck just up the road were jointly recorded among the estates of Count Alan in the Domesday Survey.

Glenrowan Homes sadly have not come across any hidden treasures of yet with these investigations being carried out to fulfil planning conditions.

The local sheep are desperate to have their field back as soon as possible which Glenrowan Homes have been using as an ecological way to keep the field grazed.
